Why does TidyExit ask for my Library folder?

macOS stores app caches, preferences, containers, and related support files in your Library folder. TidyExit uses the folder you grant so it can show cleanup candidates for review.

Is anything deleted permanently?

TidyExit does not permanently delete files. Items you remove move to its reversible quarantine first. From there, you can restore them or ask macOS to move them to the Trash.

Will it touch apps I still use?

Find Leftovers checks whether matching apps still appear installed and leaves every result unselected. Free Up Space and Scan an App intentionally show some data from installed apps, but move it only after you review and confirm the action.

What should I do if resetting an app removes something I need?

Open View Quarantine in TidyExit and restore the app's items. Some apps may also need to be reinstalled or signed into again after a reset.
